2023 Porsche Macan T Unveiled, Boasts Better Handling and Sportier Look

Before now, the “T” badge which stands for “Touring”, was reserved for the 718 and 911 models. For the very first time in history, Porsche is extending this to one of its SUV models.

The German automaker has just unveiled the 2023 Porsche Macan T – an entry-level model that boasts more agile handling and a sportier look. Since this model is entry-level and meant to be more affordable, it is based on the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder base engine which churns out 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

For improved handling, Porsche has equipped the Macan T with its Porsche Active Suspension Management system as standard equipment, and when you opt for the adaptive air suspension, the vehicle is also fitted with model-specific anti-roll bars that are stiffened to decrease body roll and increase handling sharpness. To further aid handling, the Macan T has been fitted with the Porsche Traction Management system tuned to increase the power bias to the rear axle, while the optional Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus package further improves the car’s agility.

In terms of looks, the compact SUV model features an exclusive exterior detailing that includes an Agate Gray Metallic trim by the front bumper, side mirrors, side blades, roof spoiler and rear logo, while the sport tailpipes and side window surrounds boast a gloss black finishing.

Additional features include the 20-inch Macan S design wheels in a sleek dark titanium finish, Sport-Tex Stripe pattern seats with six-way adjustability and heating standard, a heated GT sport steering wheel, and the Sport Chrono Package that includes Porsche’s launch control for a 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds.

Pricing for the Macan T isn’t available yet, but Porsche says it will be made available closer to the market launch in early spring. In the meantime, check out the official photos below.
