As a tribute to the iconic DBR1 and DBR3, Aston Martin has unveiled a new open-cockpit design concept called the DBR22 which will be produced in very limited quantities.

The DBR22 commemorates the 10 year anniversary of Q by Aston Martin which the same division responsible for the one-off Aston Martin Victor, the Vulcan, as well as the Vantage V600.

The concept is debuting for the Monterey Car Week, and it is said that the same will go into production in extremely limited quantities made available only to a select number of Q by Aston Martin customers.

The rear-wheel-drive two-seater will feature the latest in manufacturing technologies and harbor a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine under the hood, to churn out 705 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque which allows for a top speed of 198 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds.

The open-cockpit supercar weight is kept light and luxurious thanks to the 3D-printed aluminum rear subframe, the lack of multiple panels, and a heavy use of carbon fiber inside the cabin.

Aston Martin will be debuting the DBR22 at Pebble Beach Concours D’ Elegance from August 19-21. Get familiar with the car below, and if you will be at the car week, be sure to check it out there.
